The Dreaming Retreat
Friday 19 August - Monday 22 August 2022
Garragh Mhor, Isle of Seil (12 miles south of Oban)
The Dreaming Retreat: West is a deeper immersion with the 4Directions Theatre ‘Bringing in the Mythical’ work created by Carol Day. It is part of the launch series for the books Story Compass, Shamanic Dreaming and Trees are our Letters and is designed for dreamers and visionaries to go deep with the mythology of the land to uncover individual and collective soul purpose in the West of Scotland.
We will be hosted by the spectacularly positioned Goragh Mohr, on the Isle of Seil (reachable by a bridge), on the West coast of Scotland. The hill has views over many of the Inner Hebridean islands. When Carol was writing Story Compass and writing the West material for the realm of the mythical, she had dreams calling her to this place. The archetypes of this land and place have many things to share with us and important dreams to open.
The idea is to arrive on the Friday afternoon for an early evening meal and then to open up a three day visionary engagement with the stories of the land and inner stories of each participant and our ancestral pasts. There will be 4Directions Constellation work, lots of writing, Goose listening, archetypal exploration, disentangling, visioning, journeying and filming work. This will enable both an inspirational and healing journey.

Conveniently placed to access the historic KintyrePeninsula, it is also well placed for day trips to some of the closer Inner Hebridean Islands, such as Mull, Iona, Jura, Luingand EasdaleIsland.
To enable Course and Retreat Organisers to plan their offerings, we have put the pack together as a guide for costings.
